- The Latino community represents almost 40 percent of California’s population, but only 20 percent of its bachelor’s degree holders.
- 60 percent of Black high school graduates are not prepared by their high schools to meet the A-G course requirements for admission to the UC and CSU.
- 83% of Latinx CCC students will take more than 4-years to transfer to a university
We expose, teach, & guide learners through local academic and employment resources to improve their economic opportunities. We meet users where they are, through TecoGuide, our college & career platform.

Our founders, Maria and Mauricio, serve as a compelling illustration of the obstacles faced by first-generation students. Hailing from low-income Mexican American backgrounds, they navigated the challenges of pursuing higher education with unwavering determination. Despite the odds, they not only successfully completed their education but also achieved notable success in their professional endeavors.
In the realm of education, Mauricio brings a wealth of experience. Throughout his career, he has served as a counselor and teacher at community colleges, generously sharing his extensive knowledge of the California University System with the community.
Maria, on the other hand, embarked on her professional journey in the corporate sector post-education. She garnered executive roles at major global corporations, honing her skills and eventually becoming a recognized expert in diversity within the high-tech industry.
Together, they form an ideal partnership for developing technological solutions aimed at democratizing education. By combining their expertise, experience, and passion, they created TecoGuide, the flagship product of Inspirame. TecoGuide embodies their mission to revolutionize educational solutions for the sector, ushering in a new generation of possibilities.
Both Maria and Mauricio firmly believe that everyone, regardless of their background, deserves access to a quality education.
